Is child abuse, of this type and age, caused by impatience on the part of the parent? Could it be that simple? The crying, the mess making, the things normal kids do...is the violence because the young parent simply had no idea of the trial of patience a little child requires?
How do you prepare a young person to be a parent? Is there a school, a degree, a class?
Maybe one should be required to have a license before he is allowed to have a child at all. A person needs to be "qualified" to be a parent!

The younger generation should learn parenting from a responsible older generation, from family members. Older kids help care for younger siblings; younger siblings help care for nieces and nephews, and so on.
Books cannot teach the actuality of what is required to raise a healthy child.
The concept of family has nearly been destroyed in this country. Even in the 60's, media was pushing to re-define "family".
The idea of a healthy nuclear family is considered outdated at this point. Extended family almost unheard of.

The tribal chairman and other top ranking tribal officials from the Sisseton Wahpeton Reservation, Robert Sheperd tribal chairman all gave letters of support to MARIO CONTRERAS and not one letter in support of finding justice for a two year old baby.
Contreras is married to Oyate Means and they have children together.
But like God said something like, leave the wrath to him, in time he will seek and find justice. Leave these cases to God.
And I the auntie to Ron and Shannon. Shannon served eight years for our country. She is a wonderful mother and yet in the paper they write that Contreras served his country and never was violent. What about Shannon she served also. and now she lost her baby. There is something wrong in Indian country a evilness that is killing our babies and children.
In the video on baby aleeyah just LISTEN to the old women laugh and heckle in the background. Gill family members no concern for a little baby girl only to free a man.
