Edgar Allan Poe (1809-1849) is still remembered, "evermore."
His birthday was today, January 19, at the immorial age of 202. A friend supplied this relic rendition of "The Raven," as read by Vincent Price.

But, the mystery guest at Poe's grave, who put roses and a bottle of cognac by his headstone for decades, for the second year was absent. This is ominous.

But once again, the unknown person who for decades has left three roses and a half-empty bottle of cognac at Poe's grave on the anniversary of the writer's birth failed to appear Wednesday, fueling speculation that he may have died.
