Incredibly, the International Olympic Committee, and its media comrades (NBC and Twitter) have taken the lead in old world Communist oppression. First, the athletes were not allowed to express their opinions—about anything,(unless they were Negro); now news bloggers are not allowed to express theirs.
Greek jumper Voula Papachristous, expelled from
the 2012 Olympics for your Twitter joke, seems
to have started the ominous trend of oppression
by the International Olympic Committee, et al.
Free speech is not allowed during the games, by
athletes or commentators.
Guy Adams writes for The Independent, a national British newspaper. (Adams is a Los Angeles correspondent.) Throughout the Olympics, he has used Twitter to repeatedly rip NBC for its shabby coverage of the Games in America. Notably, he’s knocked the network’s continued use of tape delays, something millions of viewers are disgusted by as well. In other words, NBC is only pretending to broadcast the games live.
And so NBC and Twitter have decided to gang up on Adams and silence him. NBC demanded Twitter take action, so Twitter decided to suspend Adams’ account on Tuesday, so say the news reports. (Tomorrow’s Tuesday here in Oklahoma August 1st. I’m not sure what Tuesday Reuters is talking about. July the 24th?) The accusation was that Adams had revealed the personal address of NBC’s executive, Gary Zenkel, encouraging people to protest NBC. It’s against the rules to twitter a personal address. But it clearly wasn’t Zenkel’s personal address Adams twittered. It was a corporate internet email.
Note: Twitter didn’t suspend black Spike Lee’s account when he did twitter a personal address which he thought was “white” Zimmerman’s. Again, white oedipal liberals prefer Negroes, always.
Now Reuters reports that their whole motion to oppress may have “backfired” on NBC and Twitter. NBC, of course, is a sponsor of the Olympics; but the relationship between Twitter and NBC is non-financial.
In any case, a nice balancing act was set up, using black female runner, U.S. 400-meter star Sanya Richards-Ross. She is leading out in the American athletes’ protest against the Olympics rule that athletes cannot use social media to promote their sponsors.
And so forth. Clearly, the Olympics is about money and politics. The athletes are just the entertainment for the occasion.
Lawyers are great entertainers, too. They cater to the corporate money in cases like this, usually defending the corporations. Because of their role in legal entertainment, corporations like Twitter are exempt from being sued, but they can obliterate any user they desire. The attorneys secured that corporate media exemption under the Federal Communications Decency Act of 1996 by applying the “internet provider” clause to all such communication systems. They are not publishers, but only space renters, and therefore exempt from libel, slander, or any other responsibility regarding the content of their rented space. What was intended to give parents power to protect their children from pornography was turned into protection of “internet providers.” This is the wondrous authority of law as practiced as a free enterprise business.
The UK media group Daily Mail and General Trust have recently filed a suit against another Twitter user–for illegally intercepting emails, impersonation and defamation. Says the Financial Times:
The case is the latest example of a rising challenge to corporate reputations – the rapid rise of Twitter critics. The open nature of Twitter, where users can broadcast their 140-character outbursts to a potential audience of millions, has made it a popular platform for praising and criticising companies and individuals.
Fine, let the corporations and internet providers oppress, sue, destroy, or do whatever they want to their users. But remember, the user cannot sue the provider for any reason.
Why? Individual persons don’t have the money to pay attorneys like the corporations do. That’s all.
My original suit against opponents who falsely claimed I was not Indian (and libeled me, my mother, my whole family, even my ancestor Bad Eagle) included the Los Angeles Times, Google, Amazon.com, the University of Nebraska, and other corporate entities that broadcast the libel. My attorney and the judge at the time dismissed those defendants. I protested, but, it was clear that it was a matter of money, not law nor morality. Thus law always tempts the Collective, the Liberal.
I must say, true to conservative experience, I alone am responsible for this suit, and its support. There is basically no public financial support for an individual struggle for truth. At least not mine. One sacrifices oneself. That’s what I know. It’s called responsibility, accountability, and individualism. A conservative is what he is because he believes in it, not because he is rewarded for it. Indeed, true conservatism is about sacrifice, not success or greed. It is about demonstrating what true value really is. This is my experience, anyway.
And so I watch the corporations–the pinnacles of capitalism, behave like tyrants, even like Communists. I see the Olympic officials as a parade of oppressionists, using athletes to make money. It is like an old fashion Mexican revolution. Money goes into it. Money comes out of it. Today’s Olympics, however, have the added oddity of being completely Communist, but featuring the antithesis of Communism: individual distinction–individual winners. There is no equality. One wins. All the others lose. Yet, the glory of the individual winner is housed in the halls of horrific tyranny.
The modern Olympics is the occasion for liberal oppression unlike any other. Perhaps the irony of Communism’s hosting the values of Capitalism occasions the paranoia and hyper-oppression of the International Olympic Committee.
And remember, the sharks always gather around blood. Where there is big money, there are swarms of attorneys.
Would that there were conservative attorneys, equally anxious for action. Ah, but it is the nature of conservatism to lie in the hearts of individuals. It is not a group action. Conservatism is the man, not the Community, not the Collective. Thus, the individual is unable to afford the wondrous powers of the awesome attorney. Thus, the liberal Collective usually wins. The mindless groupie gathers the goods. Conservative thinkers usually act alone, and the path is much more difficult, by the nature of conservatism.
I’ll die fighting falsehood and liberalism. And I may die alone. That is the lot of the conservative, as I have experienced it.

NBC revealed its own manipulations! Adams was more right than he realized!
NBC spoiled Missy Franklin’s victory moments before it aired
Moments before airing Missy Franklin’s tape-delayed Olympic victory in the 100-meter backstroke, NBC ran a promo for Tuesday’s edition of “Today” that said this: “When you’re 17 years old and win your first gold medal, there’s nobody you’d rather share it with.”

More official apologies from the Swiss player (Michel Morganella) for tweets about the South Korean soccer team.
I’m not sure what the point of apologizes really is, unless it is an attempt to secure future Olympic (or any other) opportunities for the offending athletes. It certainly doesn’t change anything in the present.
This report said Morganella used the term “mongoloid,” whereas the first report said “retard.”
Koreans are mongoloid, as are all Oriental people, and, I believe, American Indians. The term comes from “Mongolia.”
It has been used, medically, to identify a certain kind of visibly recognizable retardation, however, due to the slightly narrowed, slanted eyes that accompany the defect.
Morganella wrote in Swiss, however, not English. Are the linguistic association dynamics the same, I wonder?
Is this case based on inadequate, unprofessional “journalist” translations?
Liberals think we’re not supposed to call each other names. Like good kindergarteners, we should show respect. Yet liberals have more names for conservatives than you can count. Their favorite: “racist.”
Bad, bad, bad. The worst name you can call someone. Oh, how EVIL! How terrible! How morally wrong.
Yeah, right.

Liberal use of law! Liberal “justice”!
Obama has endorsed a law which requires teachers, or perhaps the schools, to keep racial statistics on teacher disciplinary actions. This law is specifically and exclusively aimed at the Negro student. It specifies that the statistics had better never indicate that Negro students are being disciplined at a statistically higher rate than Asians or Whites or anybody else.
In short, teachers are being heavily pressured to ignore and excuse bad behavior from Negro students, and ONLY Negro students, so as not to violate the law which commands that strict statistical “equality” be enforced.

Wherever there are white liberals, Negroes rule.

UK police arrest man over Twitter insult
Nothing vulgar. Nothing racial. Nothing un-PC. It was just personal, hurtful, malicious, etc. “In Britain, tweeting messages considered menacing can lead to prosecution.”

How is Twitter different from internet forums, emails, FaceBook, etc.?? This is vital information to know. What makes Twitter different?

The article is rather vague as to details. I wonder just how ‘menacing’ the comments were. On reading this article, I have to ask myself if the sender personally knew the recipient. I get the impression that this may well be the case.
In any You Tube free-for-all, one can read all kinds of absurd and puerile accusations and really nasty insults delivered out to complete strangers. Indeed, some comment sections have been shut down.

Now look who’s apologizing:
Twitter lifts suspension for vocal critic of NBC’s Olympics coverage
Well, look who should apologize, if they were keeping their own PC oppressionist standards, applying them to themselves.
