Shotguns at the Capitol

by David Yeagley · March 26, 2009 · 14 Comments ·

Picture it: a million men on the lawns of Washington DC, all with shotguns. Demanding to be heard–and heeded! Would that send a message?

The guns would not be loaded, of course, but it would show the criminals in the capital that the people are through with them. It would show that the people are in fact in charge. Their trust has been betrayed, and Washington is about to be cleared of rats. Out! All! The gnawing rodents will all be hung.

It would show that the people could and would in fact react. We all know that Washington does not believe this. We know Washington does not take the people seriously. We know the current White House ignores the people, except to try and seduce votes out of them. We know that Washington has no respect, no honor, and no dignity. Washington needs the shock of its life. Shock and awe, indeed. Down the barrel of the peoples’ shotguns.

Speaking of awe, Yesterday, I got a good jolt when a discussion about “militia” came up, temporarily, at Charlie Meadows’ OCPAC. I was greatly comforted to hear Charlie say, “I don’t want to hear about militia. Most of militia people don’t even vote. So, until they can assume that simple responsibility, I don’t really have much of an interest in them.” This was a much needed perspective, at least from my point of view. I don’t know of a person more Christian, more conservative, or more patriotic than Charlie Meadows, and the members of his organization. Yet, violence or force is not part of the foundation of their approach to social change. Not at all. Not now.

Nevertheless, this “militia” topic is very serious. Amanda Teegarden (OCPAC member and OK-SAFE representative) made an announcement about that “militia statement” the Missouri State Highway Patrol issued, which identified “potential terrorists.” The ghastly report included anyone displaying a bumper sticker against abortion, anyone who was against NAFTA, anyone who supported a third party candidate–and specifically mentioned Ron Paul, Bob Barr, or Chuck Baldwin. These were potential terrorists, and needed to be recognized as such. It was a truly outragious, tyrannical “training” gesture on the part of the Missouri State Highway Patrol, and they have since rescinded it, after distributing it. It was too obvious and abusive a power grab over the people.

And Oklahomans are against the “fusion center” developing at the Oklahoma Bureau of Investigaion, as well. Oklahomans are against the automatic data-sharing designed by the ‘potential tyrannists’ in charge. Personal ID and concomitant information about every individual will be eventually automatically shared between all the departments of law inforcement the world over. This concept came in through the Patriot Act, actually, in the attempt to facilitate apprehension of real terrorists. Ironically, it will be used against blue-blood American citizens.

So, what about our shotguns? Liberal Washington has shown complete tolerance for terrorists like William Ayers and ‘potential’ protoge Barry “Obama”. Wouldn’t be interesting if people experiemented with a show of arms at the local level–unloaded arms, of course. Just for exercise, what if people made arrangements with their state governments, national guard, and police forces, and held a special rally at their own state capitals–just to show that the people could in fact muster. American people themselves need to know that they can do this, that they are capable of doing this. Otherwise, there is no hope against tyranny. State leaders who are patriots will cooperate with such a show of arms. Certainly the military would foster it. Even the local police, if properly informed and prepared, would honor it.

A show of arms. That’s what we need. This is an incredible fantasty, of course, but one that is inevitably occurring in the minds of the people–the minds of the patriots, I should say.

We’re going to have to do something. Sometime. Soon. It’s all about organization, mobilization, and commitment. Retired military personnel should be the ones to lead the public in this respectful, powerful show of the peoples’ strength. It is in fact their duty to lead. They’re still drawing salary and benefits. They are still military personnel, in fact, and still employed by the people.

Either we pursue this route, or we will continue to watch Washington destroy America, selling America to the Third World, delivering our treasures to the scavangers within and without. Either we take up arms, or the arms of others will control us. Freedom, or tyranny. The paths are becoming very clear about now.

Obviously, the problem with this picture is that most people are in fact employed. No one has time for this kind of thing. Bill Clinton counted on that, and every other dictator-minded ruler counts on it. The people are preoccupied. Just let them have enough so that they feel fairly satiated. They will never rise up, until too many are too hungery.

And even then, the people are too weak to follow through. Look at North Korea.

The Left always uses professional protesters, Unions and students, (the unemployed)

I like the idea of the local Protest, just like those Tea Party Protests.

The NRA should advocate this approach. Get everyone together at Gunshows, Shooting Ranges Like the Million Man March, only now the Million Rifles.

Even if only for a Group Photo.

    I think its Achievable…

Lots of great retired military people. The WWII Vets have the right to lead. What a glory it would be!

    Mr. Meadows said:

“I don’t want to hear about militia. Most of militia people don’t even vote. So, until they can assume that simple responsibility, I don’t really have much of an interest in them.”

It wasn’t so long ago that I would have wholeheartedly agreed with Mr. Meadows, and for the exact same reason. But no more. I didn’t vote in the late presidential election because I couldn’t bear the thought of casting my sacred vote for that RINO John McCain. Has Mr. Meadows no interest in me on that basis?

With respect to the M.I.A.C. and fusion centers, I strongly oppose virtually every item they had posted on their list. That must mean I’m a particularly dangerous individual, prone to violence and milita membership and all that.

I do wonder, though, about folks who have ten or fifteen Ron Paul stickers all over the back of their vehicles. There’s something not quite right about that. ;-)

Charlie’s truck would be impounded immediately!

At OCPAC we had a discussion once about expurgating the Republican Party. Examinations for membership, and excommunications for those who hold ideas contrary to the party. Well, it was just a discussion, you know, the kind you chuckle about.

But, we are working to return to the caucus system here.

We have a lot of retired, WWII veterans in the club. Men of war. They’d lead out. Every last one of them would! And they’re all patriotic, praying, Christian men. It is a great group.

Many of the geniuses in this nation don’t vote because they think it doesn’t make a difference — and usually the ones that bend that way would vote for a Republican if in fact they did vote.

    Doesn’t make a difference?

If the mulatto gets his way during his first four years in office he will have out spent every American president combined, including George W. Bush…the sane, adult, mature and wise people of America not poisoned with the hate of people that have a little more than them (usually because they earned it), knows it always makes a difference whether one votes or not, and for whom.

White Trash…”I can’t hear you!” — you’re big working man’s mouth is awfully silent on the spade’s doing what George W. did in spades and then some…you have a lot in common with this spook, eh!

Moreover, what revolution without blood shed ever made a damn bit of difference; times will have to get a might harder before people have nothing to lose…we should have been in D.C. with pitch forks, torches and tar-and feathers, years ago…but times simply have not been bad enough.

Wait until the times really get tough, and whitey realizes it was caused by trying to make the darky economically equal to them while the darky only exuded half the effort and beefed and moaned about racism the other half.

    Well hello, Trustfunder!

It’s been kind of slow on this board lately. See if you can come up with a really, really good rant. We need the action. Have you had any luck finding people who will work? Or do you still meekly hand your money to worthless guys who talk about “Blacky Ball” all day? Sounds like a management issue, dude.

I was just sitting here in the single-wide, having my morning beer and smoke, playing poker online with my unemployment check, wondering when Obby will pay off my rental furniture. Oh, and I’m also envying other peoples wealth. That’s always a staple of my day.

No question Obama is worse than Bush, but then, had it not been for Bush, and the Republican lemmings who blindly supported his treason to the bitter end, there would be no President Obama.

So now Bush gets blamed for Obama! Love it.

In any case, I don’t see any action happening. One BadEagle reader sent Shotguns in the Capital to the NRA. The response was politely negative.

What I envision will not be the result of any major, professional, organized group that now exists. They are all subject to law, taxes, etc. They will never take a risk. I’m talking about risk now. Big risk.

This is the price to save the country. Revolutionary risk, like in 1776. I’m not sure the country has the guts anymore. We’re on some kind of dope.

    >>So now Bush gets blamed for Obama! Love it.<<

What Blame? Do you think Bush and his family are really unhappy that another Multi-Cultist corporate creature is in the White House? Do you see Obama being elected in 2008 without millions of illegal alien votes and an economy built on 8 years of increasing debt and dropping wages?

That’s pretty naïve. Follow the money. Before you start shooting, you might want to select high value targets.

    >>I’m talking about risk now. Big risk.<<

I have to agree with GMS on this point… it will have to get worse before people will take on that kind of risk.

So, what’s the turning point, the breaking point?
I look at Judges 19, 20, and 21. Something happened that made an entire nation come together. The people were scatter-brained, individualistic, utterly uncoordinated and disunified as a nation. They in fact weren’t a nation. But, something happened that was the straw to break the camel’s back.

What is that straw for America? What is the one think that will so outrage everyone that the whole nation will unite?

Do we have it is us anymore? I really wonder. I figure some public exercises might let us know how completely out of shape we are…

Forget the Leftist, Communist protesters. Their groups all get paid. They’re completely disingenuous and juvenile. I’m calling for the real thing here. I know it’s there, but, how to get it to kick in?

  • 12 David Yeagley // Mar 27, 2009 at 1:33 pm

Practice. Organization. “Community organizer!” Indeed. That’s all Obama knows how to do. Organize people to hate the rich. That’s the Communist play book.

What happened to the Patriot Playbook???!

Tonto and the Lone Ranger slipped silently between the outcroppings on the high ridge. Down below, on the trail to town, they could see six evil oulaws chasing after the afternoon stage.
“We must move quickly!” Tonto said grasping the Lone Rangers arm.
“Wait, Tonto my trusted friend… it ain’t time yet, but soon!”

  • 14 David Yeagley // Mar 27, 2009 at 5:20 pm

it ain’t time yet, but soon!

I knew I’d heard that line before.

Or, is that what the chiefs told the young braves as the settlers moved in?

    Whew!
