Welcome to the new BadEagle.com!
Thanks to generous financial assistance from the BadEagle.com community, we were able to hire Richard Lawrence Poe — former editor of David Horowitz’s FrontPageMagazine.com — to redesign our site.
We invite you to explore the new site and enjoy its many new features.
BadEagle.com remains a work in progress. More and exciting changes lie ahead.
Please feel free to give us your feedback on the new design. We welcome your suggestions — as well as your continued financial contributions!

Be sure to check out the “Bad Eagle Biography“.

David Yeagley is the great-great-grandson of Comanche leader Bad Eagle.

Note: the Bad Eagle Journal entries have all been transferred to the new BadEagle.com. They are collected in the “Bad Eagle Journal” box in the right column (to the right of this center column). The “Recent Editorials” from the old Bad Eagle forums remain in tact on the “Forums” button in the new Bad Eagle navigation bar above. They have all been transferred to the new BadEagle.com, of course, but the old comments are still with the original forums page.
If there is any question about this, please ask.

Also, this center column holds the latest post, whether a new Journal entry, or a new Op-Ed. As soon as the latest post occurs, the previous will be placed in either the new Journal box to the right, or the new Op-Ed box to the right, accordingly.

Thank you, and I ask for your patience as I learn the new techniques here for eliminating unhelpful, useless posts.
When you see one of these, do not respond. I will remove it, but then I have to remove your response to it, otherwise it will be an unaccountable post with no reference.
Please be patient with me on this.

Kills Straight, thanks.
I’m never offended by honest, sincere criticism. Few know how to express such, effectively. Sometimes I think there are few sincere people, but, that’s being paranoid, surely.
Right now, lots of us conservative Republicans are feeling a bit vulnerable, seeing the demise of our Party cause by precisely insincere people!

DR. YEAGELY:
PERHAPS THE CONSERVATIVE OR PALEO-CONSERVATISM ELEMENT DESPERATELY NEEDED A WAKE UP CALL.
WHAT ARE YOU FEELING VULNERABLE FOR? YOU GUYS STILL HAVE ALL THE MONEY. THE CONSERVATIVES LET THEOCRACY RUN THEIR SHOW. REMEMBER FOLKS, THIS IS STILL A DEMOCRACY, NO MATTER HOW MANY TIMES YOU SCREAM “MARXIST”.

Well, Democracy doesn’t mean ‘mob’ rule, either. This country was designed as a REPUBLIC. It was a democracy in a republican form. That is a specific thing.
Aristotle examined 150 different democracies in Greece in the latter 4th century BC, in a book called The Politics. This is excellent reading. It was observed in the earlier 19th century AD that it was not a good thing for the people to have the power to vote themselves benefits out of the national treasury. See, Frederic Bastiat, The Law. He calls it taking the wealth from some and giving it to others. This is a bad sign.
(I have both these books in hard copy. Not to offend anyone with these internet reproductions…)
In other words, “democracy,” if not practiced within a structure (i.e., a republic), will destory itself. It needs a harness.
Problem now is, The Republican Party has failed to represent or practice the principles of republicanism in this American democracy. Therefore were’ heading fast in the direction of pure socialism (Marxism). That’s my concern. This isn’t what America was meant to be, and will change America in a different (i.e., worse) kind of country. That’s the problem.
Kills Straight, I know you’re not a fan of Russell Means, but he said Communsism (Marxism, socialism, etc.) is a live and well on the reservations, and that’s what the problem is! I think he’s right on that one, to a very great extent.

PERHAPS A WATERED DOWN VERSION OF COMMUNISM. I WILL AGREE WITH YOU ON THIS POINT. THE INDIANS ON THE REZ WERE COERCED INTO SOCIALISM. IT WAS WHITEY’S WAY OF KEEPING THE “RED-MAN” DOWN AND CO-DEPENDENT. PATERNALISM IS A MORE APT DESCRIPTION OF THE REZ SYSTEM.
WILL PRESIDENT OBAMA’S “MARXISM” DO TO AMERICA WHAT IT DID TO AMERICAN INDIANS? THAT REMAINS TO BE SEEN.
“Problem now is, The Republican Party has failed to represent or practice the principles of republicanism in this American democracy.”
YOU KNOW WHY? GREED. PLAIN AND SIMPLE. THE REPUBLICANS UNDER THE BUSH REGIME BECAME EXTREMELY GREEDY. WHEN CONGRESS DEREGULATED WALL STREET, THE LENDERS (BANKS) IT SIGNALED THE BEGINNING OF THE END OF ECONOMIC PROSPERITY AMERICA ENJOYED UNDER THE CLINTON ADMINISTRATION. BOTH THE HOUSE AND THE SENATE ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR THE MESS WE ARE IN NOW. I HOLD THEM ALL ACCOUNTABLE.

There’s no real discussion about the set up, or what led to the present situation. The fact is, Republicans BLEW it, badly. Everyone knows it. I don’t think anyone can argue against that.
Very bi-partisan failure. Think Freddie and Fanny thing was all Democrat, but, Republicans were too weak to campaign against it.
It doesn’t really matter, though. This point in history goes down as Republican failure. That’s the score.

Good job on the site changes. I’m not sure I like having to sign up with Wordpress to comment, but I was planning to sooner or later anyway.
